Usage

Use this window and tab to define the part numbers for which the modification is applicable. The data in this window and tab can only be updated when the modification is in the Preliminary status.

It has to be decided whether the modification should be executed at next visit in workshop, at next interval maintenance, or at a calculated time based on the defined operational parameter(s) or calendar interval. This is determined by the values in the Next Visit In Workshop and Next Interval Maintenance fields. If you want the last due date to trigger the execution, select the Last Due Date Trigger Execution check box. Observe the following examples:

• Example 1: Two initial inspections have been defined for the modification. One with inspection interval 1000 Engine hours (EHR) and the other with the inspection interval 200 Landings (LDG). If this check box is not selected, the initial inspection is due once a defined interval is reached (i.e., whichever comes first). However, if this check box is selected, the initial inspection is due when both intervals are reached (i.e., whichever comes last).
• Example 2: Two terminating actions are defined for the modification. One with a limit of 10000 Flight hours (FHR) and the other with a calendar limit of 100 days. If this check box is not selected, the modification will become due based on whichever of the defined limits are reached. However, if this check box is selected, the modification will become due based on whichever limit is reached last. 

When the modification revision is set to the Active status, the serials with part numbers listed in this window and tab will be assigned to the modification. If the assignment type of the modification is By Revision All Serials, only serials with the parts revisions listed in the Assign Part Revisions tab will be assigned. However, if the assignment type of the modification is By Serial Range, the serial numbers defined in the Serial Range tab will be assigned.

Note: If the assignment type of the modification is Documentation the Define Modification/Assign Parts tab will not be enabled.
