Usage

Use this tab to view journal entries for the selected work order. Journal entries are created automatically when the following changes are performed on the work order. The entries can be divided into six different event types:

Status Change

The event type Status Change shows in the journal when:

Event field Modified

The event type Event field Modified shows in the journal when the event field in the Prepare tab are changed

Work Order Created

The event type Work Order Created shows in the journal when a repair work order is created automatically from a material order line

Following event types are used only when IFS/Mobile Workforce Management is installed:

iSWB

The event type iSWB shows in the journal when a change has been conducted to the work order from the Scheduling Workbench. Changes can be either of the four below mentioned actions:

SDS

Indicates that a change has been conducted to the work order from the Scheduling Despatch Service. The Scheduling Despatch Service despatches i.e. assigns or unassigns work orders to the Allocated Executed by and raises the status of the work order to Assigned based on the Rules set up for the Scheduling Despatch Service.

Appointment

The event type Appointment shows in the journal when an appointment has been booked or cancelled for the work order using Appointment Booking

Note: In the Prepare Work Order/Journal and Report In Work Order/Journal tabs it is possible to enter additional information relevant to a journal event by using the Add Notes menu option.
